Bearberry A new type of skin de-pigmentation and lightening agent is the extract of Bearberry plant. Bearberry contains the active ingredient Arbutin that is very popular in Japan and other Asian countries for skin de-pigmentation. Arbutin can be used to whiten the skin, to prevent liver spots and freckles, to treat sunburn marks and to regulate melanogenesis. Arbutin protects the skin against damage caused by free radicals. Arbutin is a skin whitening agent, it can inhibit the formation of melanin pigment by inhibiting Tyrosinase activity. Retinyl Palmitate Retinyl Palmitate is the most important natural derivative of Vitamin A. Vitamin A is the first vitamin to be used topically for the treatment of damaged human skin. Vitamin A stimulates mitotic activity and the production of collagen - the material skin is made of. It is now known that the clinical effect obtained with high doses of Vitamin A is necessary for normal differentiation and maintenance of epithelial tissues.Vitamin A helps to renew and exfoliate the skin, giving fresh, glowing, beautiful skin. Licorice Licorice extract (obtained from the root of Glycyrrhia Glabra Linneva) is one of nature’s most subtle and yet effective skin lightening agents.Glycyrrhetinic acid, isolated from Glycyrrihiza glabra (licorice) is widely used in the cosmetic industry. Licorice whitens by suppressing the formation of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin discolouration.Over time the old layer of the pigmented skin is replaced by whiter, creamier skin. Salicylic acid Acts as an exfoliant removing dead skin layers and revealing new, light, glowing skin.

	How does Dermabrite work?
	Dermabrite works by assisting in the prevention of pigmentation as well as lightening the skin. It can be used to whiten the skin by inhibiting the formation of melanin pigment by inhibiting Tyrosinase activity. As an antioxidant Dermabrite also protects the skin against damage caused by free radicals.

When will I see results?

With twice daily use of Dermabrite, most people can expect to see a decrease in pigmentation and an overall improvement in skin tone and clarity within six to eight weeks. Dermabrite will also help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve the suppleness of skin. Results with Dermabrite will vary according to different skin types.

Can I use Dermabrite with other Skin Products?

When using multiple skin care products, always follow your dermatologist’s instructions. Dermabrite can be used safely with other products such as alpha hydroxy acids, and moisturisers. When applying several products, you might experience some irritation (mild stinging, burning, or redness). Here are some general recommendations: If you wait 20 minutes between applying different products, you will allow sufficient time for each product to penetrate into your skin, reducing the potential for irritation. During the day, sunscreen should always be applied after Dermabrite (20 minutes later) and before cosmetics.

	Are there any precautions I need to take?
	If your skin is sensitive undertake a patch test. Place a small amount of Dermabrite on a small patch of skin and wait 24 hours to test for adverse reaction. If you should experience any type of irritation, redness or a rash while you are using Dermabrite, discontinue using it and contact your dermatologist.
